I have been wanting to go to Buckeye Roadhouse for as long as I can remember and finally we made there yesterday. Many times when looking forward to a restaurant it doesn't live up to expectations. Yesterdays meal exceeded! We had Smoked Brisket that was incredibly tender, moist and full of Smokey flavor. I has Brick Chicken that was amazingly tender and moist. For dessert we shared Key Lime Pie, one the best ever. Beautiful ambience and outstanding service. Buckeye Roadhouse is not to be missed. Can't wait to return.

So many people have been talking about this place and we are so lucky to have been able to go as a work group! Everything we had was perfect and tasty. The ambiance is pretty neat you really feel like you are in a mountain estate. the service was phenomenal and the waitress friendly. Everything came out perfectly cooked and the selection of food appealed to every taste bud in our party. I would love to come back here and try different things. One of the highlights was the delicious polenta sticks that I really enjoyed. they had so much flavor for such a simple item. Like I mentioned everything was cooked to perfection- the steaks were perfect and juicy as well. The oysters were a delectable treat as well! Great job Buckeye Roadhouse- can't wait to come back.

I've eaten here twice now and have not been disappointed with the service, ambiance, or flavor of the food. The onions rings come in a big mound and are thinly sliced and crispy. The polenta sticks are deep fried and amazing. The tuna melts in your mouth and the dressing on the salad is so tasty. Two of my companions ordered the liver dish and said it was incredible. Others in my party ordered the ribs and steak -- delicious all around. Two of us ordered the pulled pork sandwich. I thought the fries were crispy and salted just right, the coleslaw was really good and I normally don't like coleslaw, and the sandwich itself had a great bun and the pulled pork had good flavor. I didn't have dessert this time, but the last time I came, our group ordered maybe 4-6 desserts to share among us, and I remember everything was scrumptious. I was just overstuffed this time and unable to move forward with dessert. The drinks are great. You won't be disappointed with any of the options! I had just 1 cocktail and it was all I needed. There is a paved lot and a dirt lot out front. If parking is full, which it usually is during dinner, you can park across the street. Bathrooms are clean and at least the women's restroom has an almost full length mirror. The interior of the restaurant has a classic, historical look and feel. The exterior has beautiful flowers and greenery, as well as garden lights that come on in the evening. Make a reservation! Lastly, this place is on the pricey side, so save it for a special occasion.

What a wonderful experience at the Buckeye. We started with a cocktail in the oh so cozy warm, comfy bar. Delicious and top notch bartenders. On to the Dining room where our server, Katheryn and her team were not only warm and pleasant, they provided amazing service Wonderful. My dish was wonderful, Petrale Sole, cooked perfectly with an herbed crust. Delicious. My wife had the Skirt Steake cooked to perfection with Frittes steeped in juices. The charm of the Dining Room only adds to the experience in the 90 plus year old gem.

A relative had a layover of a few hours at SFO in her lengthy international itinerary. Rather than have her moulder in the terminal, I fetched her for a quick driving tour of San Francisco, including the obligatory drive over the Golden Gate Bridge and lunch at a nice seafood joint on the water on the Sausalito side. Urm: she doesn't like seafood. Okay, what's nearby? Oh yeah: the wonderful Buckeye Roadhouse. Wrinkle: it's Mother's Day. Cue the ominous music. But: No problem! The cheerful staff had room for us at the rockin' bar, and we had a fantastic lunch. Everything I've had there in this visit and many past has been excellent. Oysters Bingo is a standout, and even the cheeseburger is a fabulous example of its breed. Service is always great, and despite the whirl of Mother's Day (when I ordinarily avoid all restaurants!) we were treated well by the great staff.

This place is legendary! You walk into the Buckeye and you're instantly thrown back into a cozy lodge from 100 years ago! The staff are top notch professionals and treat you like guests in their own home. My last visit Christy took care of us and my group had a wonderful time. The steaks are all great but I love the ribeye and the smoked brisket is special! They have a house made BBQ sauce which does great with the skinny cut onion ring hay stack. They have so many dishes to choose from and I haven't had a bad experience yet. Their potatoes side are all amazing. The scalloped potatoes are my favorite but last time I went with the mashed potatoes instead and they were creamy and delicious. Try one of their signature cocktails or have a Pliny the Elder. And make sure to save room for dessert!! If you live within 100 miles from Mill Valley get yourself a reservation to the Buckeye!

Even though I grew up in Marin, I didn't get to try Buckeye Roadhouse until about 5 years ago. I have several times since, including celebrating two birthdays there including my most recent 50 birthday lunch in January. *Food: *Appetizer: Onion Rings, so yummy, but a little tricky to eat. The dipping sauce was exceptional, these would be good on top of a steak or a baked potato, they are like onion strings, not a typical thick ring *Brisket: I have ordered the brisket at least 3 times that we have come here and are never disappointed, juicy brisket, the potatoes are to die for and the sauce pulls it all together *Zoe's Cobb Salad with Shrimp: A lot of blue cheese, but the shrimp were outstanding *Pulled Pork Sandwich: Delicious French Fries and Pulled Pork, big enough to share *Desserts: We couldn't decide, so we shared a Coconut Cream Pie and our waiter was nice enough to send us home with the birthday "S'More Pie", since we were quite full at that point. Ambiance: The walkway up to the restaurant is like a little garden vibe with flowers and plants, great pic op, inside is homey and like a rustic lodge vibe with a huge fireplace in the main dining area downstairs, we requested a window booth seat, which they accommodated. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Beautiful Christmas dining experience. The Buckeye Roadhouse knows how to make a girl feel like royalty, serving up steak perfection after a day of holiday shopping and girl therapy.
